Beginning Sewing - Machine Basics, Cutting and Straight-Line Sewing (1st of 4 Classes)
This Beginning Sewing class block is intended for students who have never sewn and are at least seven years old. There are four classes in the block, and students are encouraged to take ALL four classes. This course series focuses on safety, confidence, creativity, and finishing projects successfully. Class 1: Sewing Machine Basics, Cutting and Straight Stitching (Session 100-a)
Project: Straight Line Sewing Drills
Class 2: Sewing Multiple Pieces And Fabric Layering
Project: Fabric Bookmark
Class 3: Sewing Multiple Pieces, Ironing Techniques, and Turning Fabric
Project: Tissue Caddy
Class 4: Final Project - Combining All Skills Project: Simple Bag
Each class is FAT QUARTER FRIENDLY
Note: Machines can be purchased at Quilt & Fabrics. All notions and supplies can be purchased at a 15% discount for students after registration and payment for the class

| Instructor Bio: | Meet Colleen, out new Beginner Sewing teacher! A former film industry costumer with a life-long love affair with thread and fabric. Colleen learned to sew and crochet from her Granny Bird and her Mom at a young age. A proud fabric hoader (because you never know when you'll need that perfect print). Colleen delights in helping others stitch, snip and seam their way into new skills and creative adventures. |
