Beginnng Sewing - "Bucket Hat"

Creating something fun for the warmer seasons of the year.

Beginning Sewists are introduced to a fun way to practice basic sewing skills while being shown how to makng a reversible Bucket Hat.

The fabric used in this class is up to you. Generally, cottons are used in our classes, but you may choose too use an outdoor upholstery fabric for one side and a quality cotton fabric for the other side. We recommend you choose fabric that you will be comfortable using. Fabric requirement for this course are as follows:

1/2 yard for the outside of the hat
1/2 yard for the inner hat
1 yard of interfacing

You can purchase your fabric in the store and take advantage of the 15% class-day discount offered to all students who have registered and paid for the course.

Remember to also bring your basic sewing tools including extra sewing machine needles (size 12 will work for most), quality scissors and/or a rotary cutter, tape measure, fabric markers, pins or clips, and thread for your machine and bobbin. We will show you how to enhance the brim of the hat by sewing a pattern on it, choose a pattern you would like to see on the brim.
