Cartonnage Series


Have fun learning Cartonnage, the art of making fabric covered boxes. Started in France in 1844, this craft uses chipboard, fabric and glue to make decorative and useful boxes. Using basic tools and simple techniques yu can create boxes for sewing notions, jewelry, craft supplies, binders, journals, organizers ansd so much more!
If you can cut fabric and use glue, the possibilities are endless!  

Supply list:
Rotary Cutter for paper and fabric
Scissors for paper and fabric
Ruler
Fabric - 100% quilting cotton is best. As a beginner light to medium dark fabrics with a random design. Avoid plain colors. 
Large, heavy book to lay on flat pieces of project while glue dries.
